Utsmaya means "to bloom" in Sanskrit. That is our commitment to every person who works with us: to help you bloom into the best version of yourself.
We are a psychotherapy and breathwork practice founded in 2022 by Mamtha Rajesh and Mihika Rajesh. Most people who come to us have already thought about their problem a great deal. They can explain it clearly and they still feel stuck, because emotions are held in the body as well as the mind. Our work addresses both.
We combine psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Five Elements Breathwork and somatic practices within a psychospiritual framework. Very few psychotherapists work this way, and it is the reason our clients see change that lasts. The work is structured, it has a clear beginning and end, and it asks for your commitment.
If you are dealing with burnout, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, a life transition or patterns from childhood that keep repeating, you are in the right place.
Why our clients experience deep, lasting shift rather than temporary relief.
Two separate paths that became one shared vision of holistic healing.
Utsmaya was founded in 2022 by Mamtha Rajesh and Mihika Rajesh, a mother-daughter duo who are both psychotherapists.
Mamtha began her practice in 2000. As a young girl she was shy and introverted, and petrified at the thought of speaking in front of people. She worked with her mind, her body and her breath to move past those fears. That personal work became her professional method, and over 26 years it has served more than 3,500 clients across seventeen countries.
Mihika went on to complete her Masters in Mental Health in Children and Young Adults at the University of Edinburgh, and built her own practice with young people and their families. What began as two separate paths became one shared vision, and Utsmaya was born.
Utsmaya means "to bloom" in Sanskrit. Both founders have sat on the client's side of the room as well as the therapist's, and they bring that understanding to every session, workshop and retreat. Their commitment is simple. Every person who works with Utsmaya is supported to bloom into their best version, at their own pace.
"To support every person who works with Utsmaya to bloom into their best version, at their own pace."

Whether you're moving through anxiety, relationship patterns, burnout, or inner confusion, this space is for you to be seen without judgment. Sessions are held in person at Utsmaya, Bangalore, and online.
For couples before marriage and after. We work with the two of you together to understand where communication breaks down, what each of you brings from your own history, and what keeps the same arguments coming back. Sessions are 90 minutes. Where it helps, breathwork is added, together or individually, so that what you understand in the room is also felt and released in the body. You leave with practical skills for talking, listening and resolving conflict.
Five Elements Breathwork uses conscious, connected breathing to work with the emotions and stress your body has been holding. Each session is guided and held one to one, and is paced to what you are ready for. We begin with the Air element, which opens up the breath, and move to the other elements as your work deepens. Sessions are in person at Utsmaya, and online where suitable.
Group breathwork for people who want to experience the work in a shared space. You learn how your nervous system responds to stress, and then you breathe, guided and supported throughout. Groups are small and every participant completes a health intake form before joining.
Many of us carry feelings from childhood that stayed behind long after the events passed. Here you learn how those early experiences shaped the way you think, feel and relate today, and you work with the body to let go of what it has been holding.
Small group workshops on the themes people bring to us the most: boundaries and people pleasing, self criticism, money beliefs, stress and a dysregulated nervous system. Each workshop combines clear teaching, guided self reflection and body based practice. We run them at Utsmaya and online, so you can join from anywhere.
A few days away from routine for deeper work. Our retreats bring together psychological insight, breathwork, somatic practices and reflection, in a small group held by experienced therapists.
Many people come to therapy already having some understanding of their problem. They can explain it clearly, and they still feel stuck. That is because emotions are held in the body as well as the mind. Mamtha's work brings the two together in a three phase process.
We understand what brings you here, the patterns behind it and where they began. This is also where safety and trust are built.
Five Elements Breathwork works with the nervous system and with the emotions the body has been carrying. What you understood in Phase 1 is now felt and released.
We build new ways of coping and relating, so the change holds in daily life.
